Writing has been a major part of my creativity for many years. Having served my time as a teacher, and dabbling in most areas of amateur and professional theatre, I am now fully focused on writing being the central part of my career. If there is one thing that is central to all my writing it would be the story. Whether it's through crime thrillers, dramatic comedy, political poetry, or even in professional copywriting, the world of words is all about the art of audience engagement.

My Story
From my earliest days in writing, going to university, doing loads of voluntary work, training to teach, and much more, there's a whole history behind how I came to be the writer I am today.

My new focus on writing is an exciting new career direction, and although I have been writing for many years, it is only now that I can really be able to focus myself on this one major skill area. It's a really exciting job that is also presenting me with challenges to overcome.

As a writer myself I understand the importance of getting someone else to read and review you work objectively. It is in fact very difficult to proof read your own work because you already know the content and therefore more likely to scan over the same ones time and time again.

One of my other interests has always been art and illiustration, and most recently my character Koz has begun to be an amusing outlet for that side of my creativity.

He's a highly opinionated, somewhat unfrogiving, frequently controversial character. Often putting his own tuppence into social and political debates, or simply just taking an odd idea and running (too far) with it, he's a crazy little part of my mind I enjoy letting free.
